Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has extended his deepest condolences following the sad passing of Phyllis Ntantala-Jordan.
Described as an eminent academic, author and feminist, Mama Phyllis, passed away on Sunday at the age of 96.
A consummate activist in her own right, Mama Phyllis was married to the late literary historian, Archibald Campbell Jordan and is mother to ANC stalwart, Pallo Jordan.
“We wish to convey our deepest condolences to the Jordan family, friends and relatives. We have lost a pioneer and an inspiration to many people. May her soul rest in peace,” said President Zuma on Monday, in a statement. – SAnews.gov.za
