Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has extended his deepest condolences to the families of the African National Congress (ANC) volunteers who died tragically when the bus they were traveling in crashed, says the Presidency.
The Presidency on Monday said the volunteers were from Ekurhuleni, in Gauteng.
"We are still in deep shock. This is a loss not for the ANC only but the country as a whole. We also extend our condolences as well to the families of the three people who died when the vehicle in which they were travelling crashed into a river in Pietermaritzburg, on Sunday.
“We are with all the families that have lost their loved ones tragically and in this most painful manner. We urge the nation to keep the families in their thoughts and prayers. May their souls rest in peace,” said President Zuma.
The President has also wished a speedy recovery to all those who were injured and taken to hospital. - SAnews.gov.za
