Pretoria – Communications Minister Faith Muthambi has urged the Uniting Reformed Church to continue promoting peace and fostering social cohesion, as it celebrates its 60-year anniversary today.
Minister Muthambi will deliver a keynote address at the congregation’s 60-year celebrations to be held at Tshilidzini Hospital in Shayandima outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo.
The Minister said since the church’s establishment, it has always played a central role of promoting peace, assisting the poor and bringing people of different backgrounds together. She commended the church for being a force of positive change within the Vhembe District, where most of the church-led projects are pioneered by female congregants. - SAnews.gov.za
