Cabinet sends condolences to Sisulu family

Pretoria - Cabinet has added its voice to the many condolences that have poured in for the family of the late struggle veteran, Zwelakhe Sisulu.

Sisulu, the son of Walter and Albertina Sisulu, died at age 61 at his home in Johannesburg on 4 October.

Briefing media on Thursday on Cabinet's ordinary meeting this week, Acting Minister for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Richard Baloyi described Sisulu as a "giant of South Africa's history". 

"Sisulu will be remembered with pride for the role played at the New Nation newspaper, the SABC and other institutions as well as the inspiration he gave to many youth and families," he said. 

Sisulu's funeral service will be held at the Walter Sisulu Hall in Randburg this Saturday. The service will start at 9am.
