Buthelezi moves from Finance to DAFF

Former Finance Deputy Minister Sifiso Buthelezi has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) following changes to the National Executive.

Born in Mahlabathini, KwaZulu-Natal in 1961, Deputy Minister Buthelezi who is an economist by profession, obtained his BCom degree while on Robben Island.

He joined Parliament in 2016, following his appointment as Finance Deputy Minister. Up until 2014, Deputy Minister Buthelezi was the chairman at Passenger Rail Agency of SA (Prasa), a position he held for six years. He was on the board for 10 years. – SAnews.gov.za
