Pretoria - Business Unity South Africa (Busa) has extended its good wishes to former President Nelson Mandela on his 92nd birthday today.
"The event marks an important occasion on which to reflect on the values and norms which he has espoused, especially since the advent of democracy in 1994," Busa said in a statement.
Busa said Madiba has also made a major contribution to the economic dimensions of reconciliation and nation building - which have helped to underpin South Africa's economic performance to date.
"The success of the recent Soccer World Cup also owes much to his early leadership and support for SA's sporting achievements," it said.
Busa pays tribute to his overarching contribution as a statesman to the development of the fledgling democracy and the values that should be embodied in it.
