Pretoria – The 44-year-old alleged drug mule arrested at OR Tambo International Airport this week was denied bail on Wednesday.
Alleged drug mule, Roxana Quipos Rivas, was arrested after drugs were found in a false compartment in her luggage.
The drugs were estimated to be worth just over a million rand.
She travelled from Sau Paulo to Johannesburg en route to Maputo using a Peruvian issued passport.
Police said her case in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court was postponed to 18 September 2015 for further investigation. Bail was denied because she does not have a physical address in the country as she was arrested when she stopped over en route Maputo. – SAnews.gov.za
