Thursday, June 26, 2025

Agrement South Africa, a public entity under the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, will host a industry and stakeholder engagement forum for the Western Cape at the Century City Convention Centre.

ASA was established for the purpose of technical assessments and certification of fitness-for-purpose of innovative building and non-standardized products or systems.

According to the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, the event is a key platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and exploring sustainable solutions to South Africa’s infrastructure challenges.

“The ever-changing environmental and climate situation the world is facing, is forcing a rethink on the materials and systems that are used in the built environment.

“This industry and stakeholder forum will be held in all provinces at is part of an effort to deal with the current situation.

“They will provide a roadmap on how we could quickly adapt and use building materials that will shield us from the vagaries of climate change whilst we also protect the environment in materials and systems that we use,” the department said. – SAnews.gov.za
