No injuries reported in fire at Letaba Rest Camp

A fire damaged two tourist units at Letaba Rest Camp, but no injuries were reported, says the South African National Parks (SANParks).

“A fire was reported at Letaba Rest Camp on 24 September, affecting two tourist units. Camp staff, including the ranger team, responded immediately and managed to contain the fire before it could spread,” SANParks said.

SANParks added that no injuries or fatalities were reported.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is underway. An update will be provided in due course.

All other facilities, including the park shop, filling station, elephant museum and camp reception, remain fully operational. -SAnews.gov.za
