Pretoria - Motorists will have to dig deeper into their pockets as the petrol price is expected to increase by 13 cents across all grades from next Wednesday.
The Department of Energy on Friday released the new prices. The wholesale price of diesel with a 0.05 percent sulphur content will rise by 14 cents per litre, while diesel with a 0.005 percent sulphur content would increase in price by 15 cents per litre.
The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin is to increase by 14 cents per litre, and the single maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin will rise by 19 cents per litre.
The Maximum Retail Price for LPGAS will increase by 17 cents per kilogram in the maximum retail price.
"During the period under review, the average international product prices of Petrol, Diesel and Illuminating Paraffin increased," the department said.
In November, the price of all grades of petrol rose by 20 cents per litre.
