Pretoria - South Africa has expressed its deepest condolences to President Jakaya Kikwete following the death of 26 people in last week's explosions at the main Tanzania People's Defence Forces (TPDF) munitions dump in Dar es Salaam.
In a statement, President Jacob Zuma offered his sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones and those who were injured by the bomb blasts.
"The government of South Africa wish the injured a speedy recovery from this ordeal and further express its readiness to provide technical support to any investigation that may be conducted," said Zuma.
The explosion injured hundreds and displaced thousands more, with property worth billions of shillings being destroyed.
