Condolences for families of fire victims

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the eight children who passed away due to a fire at the Lakehaven Children's Home in Parlock, near Durban on Thursday.

“We are very saddened by this tragic and painful loss of life and the serious injuries to other children. We convey our heartfelt condolences to all the families who are going through a most difficult period.

“May the injured recover well both physically and emotionally from this trauma,” said the President.

He added that the provincial government is providing much-needed support to the affected families. - SAnews.gov.za
