Alice – There is a festive mood at the University of Fort Hare in the Eastern Cape, as hundreds of guests gather at the Alice campus of the university, to mark its 100 years.
President Jacob Zuma, who is the main speaker of the day is due to arrive shortly. The President will be joined by scores of high profile dignitaries, including Presidents and Ambassadors from several African countries.
Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe, who is the head of the Ministerial Committee tasked to organise the event, arrived earlier to greet guests who gathered in a white marquee. SAnews.gov.za
