Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has assigned three Ministers to provide support to the families of the miners who are still trapped at Lily Farm in Barberton.
“The three Ministers are the Minister of Mineral Resources Mosebenzi Zwane, the Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women Susan Shabangu and the Minister of Social Development Bathabile Dlamini,” the Presidency said.
Yvonne Mnisi, Pretty Mazibuko and Solomon Nyerende were working in a shipping container office when the entrance of the mine collapsed, leading to the container falling into the ground.
The Ministers will work with the provincial government to provide support to the affected families.
President Zuma has reiterated his call to the nation to keep the families in their thoughts and prayers as rescue workers continue the search. – SAnews.gov.za
