Pretoria - The South African Police Services (SAPS) and the Airbus Helicopters have launched an investigation into a landing accident by a police helicopter on Monday.
The SAPS BK117 helicopter was involved in a landing incident at Grand Central Airport in Midrand, according to SAPS spokesperson Colonel Vishnu Naidoo.
“The aircraft was undertaking a routine post-maintenance test flight at the time.” Naidoo said.
The pilot and other occupants were unhurt and the aircraft was recovered to the Airbus Helicopters hangar. - SAnews.gov.za
