Cooperative Governance DG's contract extended

Pretoria - Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Pravin Gordhan says the contract of Director-General Vusi Madonsela has been extended for another five years.

Cabinet recently approved Mandosela’s appointment for another five years in the portfolio. 

Minister Gordhan commended Madonsela’s loyalty and commitment to the public service, which spans 12 years as a Director-General in government departments. 

“The Department of Cooperative Governance is privileged and honoured to have a leader with integrity and commitment that Mr Madonsela has demonstrated,” Minister Gordhan said.  

Prior to joining the department, Madonsela was Social Development DG. Madonsela was the longest serving DG at the Department of Social Development. He had been with the department for nine years. - SAnews.gov.za
