Pretoria - The Limpopo provincial government and the public will get an opportunity to pay their last respects to the late Limpopo Education MEC, Thembisile Nwedamutswu, as she will be laid to rest on Saturday.
The funeral is scheduled to take place at Thohoyandou Stadium in Vhembe District. The service will start at 7am.
Nwedamutswu, 55, died last Friday in Pretoria after a short illness.
She was the treasurer of the African National Congress in Limpopo. She became Education MEC after the 2014 general elections.
Under her leadership, the province achieved 72.9% during the 2014 matric examinations, up from 71.8% in 2013.
The Limpopo government said Nwedamutswu would always be remembered for the notable contribution she made to the province in the short time she served as MEC. – SAnews.gov.za
