Government pays tribute to Eddie Zondi

Pretoria - Government has conveyed condolences to the family and friends of former Metro FM disc jockey and radio legend, Eddie Makhosonke Zondi.

β€œIt is indeed a sad day for the people of South Africa to have lost a man whose music will forever be engraved in our hearts. He will be sadly missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends,” said Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) Acting CEO Phumla Williams on Monday.

Zondi died on Monday morning after suffering a heart attack. He was 47.

Zondi worked at Metro FM for more than 18 years.  He presented the Romantic Repertoire on Sundays between 3 and 6pm. – SAnews.gov.za
