Kuala Lumpur - United Arab Emirates (UAE) President, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has conveyed his sadness to the Malaysian King and China's president, over the Beijing-bound Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight that disappeared on Saturday.
Sheikh Khalifa offered his "profound sorrow and solace" to Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and President Xi Jinping, as well as, the families of those on board, it said.
Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum, also sent similar messages to the Malaysian king and Xi.
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also conveyed their sympathies over the incident.
The Malaysia Airlines flight, MH370, which carried 227 passengers and 12 crew, went missing while flying to Beijing, about an hour after departing Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 12.41am (local time) on Saturday.
It should have landed in Beijing at 6.30am (Beijing time) the same day. - SAnews.gov.za-NNN-WAM
