Pretoria – The Department of International Relations and Cooperation is to launch a radio station to raise public awareness and stimulate public discourse on South Africa’s foreign policy.
Ubuntu Radio, an online radio station, will focus on communicating South Africa’s foreign policy.
According to the department, it is the first of its kind on the African continent and the first in South Africa to operate under the auspices of a government institution for non-commercial purposes.
The station will be accessible on the internet, at www.ubunturadio.com.
International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane will officially launch the 24-hour station on Thursday in Pretoria. – SAnews.gov.za
