Pretoria - Bafana Bafana will today depart to their second training camp at the Adidas technical centre in Germany to step up their preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
In Germany, the 25-man squad will play one international friendly match against China on 28 April, while three more warm up matches with formidable local German teams have been lined up.
Bafana Bafana, who spent three weeks at the Brazilian training camp preparing for the upcoming show piece, will return to South Africa on 30 April.
After their German training camp, the national team will set up their final preparations for the World Cup at Sturrock Park at Wits University Sports Complex in Johannesburg.
Head coach Carlos Alberto Parreira described the Brazilian camp as a resounding success. Until their 2-1 loss to Santos, Bafana had been unbeaten.
"(We are getting closer) ...to the World Cup, so we have to show some improvements as a team, we can't afford any retrogression, and as a result we have to improve further from our previous gains. The team has shape and we are now competitive tactically and physically," the head coach said.
South African Football Association (SAFA) CEO, Leslie Sedibe said negotiations are at an advanced stage to secure international friendly's with both Columbia and Denmark before the opening match against Mexico on 11 June at Soccer City.
Parreira has also recalled veteran striker Siyabonga Nomvete to the national team.
