Pretoria – President Jacob Zuma has announced interventions with regards to state-owned enterprises, based on the Presidential Review Commission on State-Owned Enterprises that he established in 2011.
The interventions were announced during the State of the Nation Address on Thursday.
"For the state-owned companies to contribute to the successful implementation of the National Development Plan, they must be financially sound, be properly governed and managed”.
"We will ensure the implementation of the recommendations of the Presidential Review Commission on State-Owned Enterprises, which outlines how the institutions should be managed,” he said in his address.
