Pretoria- Motorists can expect to pay between four and five cents more for a litre of petrol as of next Wednesday, the Energy Ministry announced.
The cost of a litre of 93 ULP & LRP is set to increase by 4 cents, while that of 95 ULP & LRP is set to increase by five cents.
Last month, the petrol price decreased by 10 cents.
In Gauteng, motorists will pay R8.12 cents for a litre of petrol while those at the coast will pay R7.88 cents for a litre.
Meanwhile the price of a litre of Diesel 0.05% Sulphur and Diesel 0.005% Sulphur will decrease by three cents a litre respectively.
The cost of illuminating Paraffin (Wholesale) and that of Illuminating Paraffin (SMNRP) will also decrease by one cent and that of the Maximum Retail Price for LPGAS will fall by 7 cents.
"During the period under review, the average international product prices of Petrol, Diesel and illuminating Paraffin increased," said the department, explaining the reason behind the price hike.
