Special Official Funeral for Indres Naidoo

Pretoria- President Jacob Zuma has declared a Special Provincial Official Funeral for the late combatant of uMkhonto WeSizwe (MK), Indres Naidoo, who passed away at the 2 Military Hospital, in Cape Town, on Sunday.

The Presidency said President Zuma has directed that the national flag should be flown at half-mast at all stations in the Gauteng Province on the day of his funeral on Sunday.

He was also the former Member of Parliament, stalwart of the liberation struggle and recipient of the National Order of Mendi for Bravery.

“On behalf of government, we wish to convey once more our heartfelt condolences to the family of Comrade Indres Naidoo, his community and the Tripartite Alliance as a whole,” said President Zuma.

The Presidency said more details on the funeral will be released by the Gauteng Provincial Government. -SAnews.gov.za
