Russia's Nurgalieva takes women's 2011 Comrades

Durban - Russia's Elena Nurgalieva has won the women's 2011 Comrades Marathon for a record sixth time.

The defending champion completed the 87km race in 6:24.11 ahead of twin sister Olesya.
Elana recovered from an early setback, falling after 27km into the race.

Farwa Mentoor was the first women home for South Africa after struggling in the last third of the race.

American Kami Semick and Britain's Ellie Greenwood crossed the line to take third and fourth place respectively.

Elena's time of 6:24.11 was the slowest winning time in the women's race since 1999.
