President Zuma on working visit to Egypt

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has arrived in Cairo, in the Arab Republic of Egypt, for his working visit at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi.

The Presidency on Wednesday said the visit aims to further strengthen and consolidate the strategic bilateral relations between the two countries and to reaffirm South Africa’s commitment through the convening of the 9th Session of the Joint Bilateral Commission (JBC).

“The two Heads of State will on today hold official talks at the Ethadye Presidential Palace. During the visit, the two Heads of State will also discuss regional and international issues of mutual concern, in particular issues relating to peace and security in the African continent and in the global arena,” said the Presidency.

The President is accompanied by International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane. - SAnews.gov.za
