Pres Zuma visits Nelson Mandela Bay

Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma will today conduct a service delivery assessment visit in Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, as part of the Siyahlola Presidential Monitoring Programme.

The Presidential monitoring programme is a platform for the President to check on progress in governance and service delivery around the country.

He will have discussions with the provincial and city government, as well as various sectors, including business.

President Zuma will end the visit with a report back to the community in New Brighton at 1pm.

The visit will look into general issues of governance and also the delivery of basic services such as water, housing, electricity and others in the municipality.

The President's delegation includes Minister of Police and Acting Minister in the Presidency for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, Nathi Mthethwa; Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Lechesa Tsenoli; Minister of Finance, Pravin Gordhan; Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, Edna Molewa; Minister of Energy, Ben Dikobe Martins; Minister of Public Enterprises, Malusi Gigaba; Minister of Trade and Industry, Rob Davies; Minister of Human Settlements, Connie September; Minister of Mineral Resources, Susan Shabangu; Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Hlengiwe Mkhize. – SAnews.gov.za
