Pretoria - The National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NATJOINTS) has thanked all member departments and visitors for ensuring that the 21st International AIDS Conference was delivered successfully.

“Once again, the inter-departmental cooperation was phenomenal during this conference which inadvertently also served as an ideal practice run, particularly on a cooperation and coordination level, as we draw closer to the Local Government Elections,” NATJOINTS  Chairperson Lieutenant General Elias Mawela said on Monday.

The NATJOINTS, comprising of various government departments ensured that more than 16 000 people comprising of VIPs, local and international delegates, exhibitors and service providers were secured throughout the conference which ended on Friday.

The parallel events as well as marches, parades and protest actions were handled with distinction both by the organisers and the security officials. - SAnews.gov.za
