Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma, accompanied by Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and various Cabinet ministers, is meeting with business leaders representing Business Unity South Africa and the Black Business Council.

The meeting on Friday morning is to discuss collaboration in removing obstacles to inclusive growth and job creation in line with the National Development Plan.

The Presidential Business Working Group meets once a year at which work streams that carry out the work of the group during the year report to principals.

The following work streams will report back at the session today - education and skills, infrastructure, regulatory impact on investment, labour regulations environment and inclusive growth.

The Black Business Council was established in September 2011 out of the Black Business Summit where over 20 black business and professional organisations met to chart the way forward to enhance economic transformation.

It is the overarching collective of national organisations representing professional and business formations.

Business Unity South Africa’s objectives are to enable organised business to play a constructive role within the context of South Africa’s economic growth, development and transformation goals, in achieving an environment in which businesses of all sizes and in all sectors can thrive, expand and be competitive both nationally and internationally to the benefit of the South African economy as a whole. – SAnews.gov.za
