Zuma at Bryanston Methodist Church for Mandela prayer day

Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma and family members of the late 95-year-old former President Nelson Mandela  are currently at the Bryanston Methodist Church for the National Day of Prayer and Reflection on the life of Madiba.

Former KwaZulu-Natal Premier Zweli Mkhize was the first to arrive with his wife, followed by Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane and Arts and Culture Minister Paul Mashatile.

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela arrived ahead of the Mandela family, led by Chief Mandla Mandela.

Zuma declared Sunday, December 08, as a national prayer day in honour of Mandela. The former President, who died on Thursday at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, will be buried at his home village of Qunu on Sunday, 15 December.

The Prayer service is underway with songs of praise and worship being sung. – SAnews.gov.za
