Davos - The World Communication Forum (WCF) is a good opportunity to position the South African brand and advance it at a global level, says Communications Minister Faith Muthambi.

“This forum provides a platform to interact with leading global communicators and mobilise their goodwill to encourage inward investment to the South African economy. All our communicators need to do is create strategic communication plans to promote South Africa’s economy…” she said.

Minister Muthambi was speaking to SAnews ahead of the 2016 WCF in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday. The WCF is an annual event where communication professionals, CEOs, representatives of Ministers and the media participate.

This respected international platform is intended to cover different areas of public affairs, media, digital services, branding and related aspects.

As the co-chairperson of the WCF Davos, Minister Muthambi has been invited as a speaker and panellist.

The focus of this year’s forum will be on the global communication agenda with topics such as country branding and reputation; digital evolution to robot revolution; humanity and media reality; communicating inter-governmental brands and education in communications. - SAnews.gov.za
