Pretoria – Two suspects have been arrested for the alleged murder of Warrant officer Petrus Johannes Holz.

The suspects aged 23 and 24 are expected to appear in the Somerset West Court on Friday on charges of murder and theft.

Holz was driving to work on Wednesday morning when his car apparently hit man-made debris on Cape Town’s N2 highway.

“Stopping to inspect the vehicle, he was allegedly attacked and stabbed by two suspects and later succumbed due to his injuries,” the Hawks said.

A task team was assembled by Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) Acting Head Major General Mthandazo Ntlemeza to investigate the murder Holz.

“We believe we have a strong case against the accused and we will not leave any stone unturned in ensuring such brutalitydoes not happen again,” Ntlemeza said.
