Pretoria - Adults who want to get their matric certificate have only one day left to register to write the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination.

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga has called on adults who are 21 years and older, who have obtained at least a Grade 9 [old Standard 7] or ABET Level 4, to register by 31 October 2011 to write the NSC examination.

"Candidates must satisfy all the requirements relating to the Senior Certificate in order to obtain the qualification. Learners who have written this examination in the past, and have a subject or two outstanding, are also encouraged to register," Motshekga explained.
