Search launched for Free State rhino poachers

Pretoria - Police and rangers are following the tracks of suspected poachers in the Willem Pretorius Nature Reserve in the Free State following an attack on three rhinos at the reserve on Monday.

“All three rhinos survived the merciless attack but one is very critical. No horns have been removed,” said the Free State Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs on Thursday.

The department said the attack occurred at night.

Police investigations are ongoing. -SAnews.gov.za
