SANRAL says site functional for e-toll registration

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

Pretoria - The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) says there are no problems with the e-toll registration website following reported challenges in accessing the site this morning.

“The e-toll website is continuously monitored and tested to ensure it is always functional and available to SANRAL's clients.

“Our investigation revealed that people who were struggling this morning were experiencing typical problems experienced on websites that have financial transactions options. It is either personal security computer settings or firewall programmes that prohibit the use of these type of websites,” said SANRAL on Tuesday.

It advised people to alter their settings and accept the e-toll website as a secure site. By accepting the e-toll website as a secure site on the personal computer settings, this will allow the user to gain access to the e-toll website for registration.

“SANRAL would like to affirm its commitment to customer service and would like to assure users that all registration channels are monitored on a continuous basis to ensure optimum availability and service to its customers,” it said. – SAnews.gov.za
