Pretoria - Special Envoy to South Sudan, Cyril Ramaphosa, has concluded his second visit to the country.

While in the country, Ramaphosa held discussions with President Salva Kiir and other stakeholders on the process to resolve the on-going conflict, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation said.

On Monday, Ramaphosa will travel to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia "to facilitate intra-party discussions involving the various sections of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement”.

Spokesperson Clayson Monyela says the Special Envoy will facilitate the discussion jointly with the Ethiopian People Revolutionary Democratic Front.

“South Africa is committed to assisting the people of South Sudan to address the current conflict as well as the humanitarian needs,” Monyela added. – SAnews.gov.za
