Pretoria - Government has warned the public about a bogus Facebook page in the name of Public Works Minister Thembelani “Thulas” Nxesi.
Departmental spokesperson Thami Mchunu said: “Minister Nxesi does not have a Facebook page and his office is worried that the public may be taken for a ride by unscrupulous characters posing as the Minister.
“The Ministry would like to warn anyone involved in the bogus page that this is a criminal offence and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
“As it is, a criminal case has already been opened with the police”.
