Pretoria - Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown has condemned the existence of a fake Facebook account in her name.
“I do not have a Facebook account and appeal to people not to accept me as a friend. I have not given permission to anyone to use my identity on social media and this is clear abuse and theft of my identity,” said Minister Brown on Monday.
Minister Brown was alerted by colleagues about the existence of the “Lynne Brown” Facebook account.
“I will take the necessary steps, including legal action, to protect my name and have this matter investigated,” said Minister Brown.
The fake account has been reported to Facebook. - SAnews.gov.za
