Pretoria – President Jacob Zuma will be among the dignitaries attending the inauguration of Nigerian President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, in Abuja, on Friday.

Some 50 Heads of State and government are expected to attend the inauguration after President-elect Buhari won the election in March.

He was elected to lead the West African country after beating incumbent Goodluck Jonathan.

The Presidency said South Africa and Nigeria enjoy warm and cordial relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1994.

In 1999, the two countries created the Binational Commission (BNC) and the two states have signed 34 bilateral agreements.

Cooperation continues to grow, said the Presidency.
