President Zuma visits Sudan

Pretoria – President Jacob Zuma is today meeting with President Omar Al-Bashir of Sudan as part of South Africa’s efforts to strengthen relations with that country, the Presidency said on Sunday.

The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries as well as socio-economic development and peace and security issues on the Continent,” Presidency Spokesperson Mac Maharaj said. The meeting is aimed at enhancing relations between South Africa and Sudan.

President Zuma is accompanied by Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.
