Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma will this afternoon reply to issues raised by Members of Parliament during the Presidency Budget Vote yesterday.

Members took turns to address the National Assembly, after the President had tabled the Budget Vote saying steady progress is being made in expanding access to important social services such as water, sanitation, quality education, quality health care, housing, science and technology, food security, social security and various others.

Progress, he said, was also being made in the fight against crime and in promoting inclusive economic growth and job creation.

The President touched on various plans to create jobs, to develop the country and deal with youth issues.

Despite the challenges being faced by the country, the fundamentals were in place.
