Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has wished the Muslim community a peaceful observance of the occasion of Ramadan Karim wa Mubarak month.

Wishing them well, President Zuma commended the community for their positive contribution to the development of South Africa and in promoting nation building.

“May this special time of reflection worldwide in the Muslim community contribute to peace, inclusion and harmony to the world,” said President Zuma.

For Muslims worldwide, Ramadan is a time of deep introspection, a profound occasion for strengthening family and community bonds and also of increased generosity, charity and service to the most vulnerable in society.

It is also a time for reflection through fasting and prayers. – SAnews.gov.za
