Wednesday, June 25, 2014

Pretoria – President Jacob Zuma is expected to make a pronouncement on the newly restructured government departments.

This follows on the announcement the President made on 25 May on the new National Executive, which included a reconfiguration of certain government departments.

The Presidency on Tuesday said the affected departments have been directed to study the legal and administrative implications of the policy announcements made by the President.

“The process will culminate in a proclamation that will, amongst others, establish the new departments, transfer the administration of certain legislation from one minister to another or transfer certain functions, agencies or institutions from one department to another,” the high office said.

New and reconfigured ministries include Telecommunications and Postal Services; Communications; Justice and Correctional Services, Small Business Development and the Ministry of Women in The Presidency. – SAnews.gov.za
