President mulls SABC board chairperson matter

Pretoria – The Presidency says President Jacob Zuma has received a letter from the Speaker of the National Assembly Baleka Mbete, asking him to consider suspending the chairperson of the board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), Ellen Tshabalala. 

This follows the outcome of an inquiry by Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Communications into Tshabalala’s alleged misrepresentation of qualifications. 

The Presidency on Saturday said President Zuma was considering the request. – SAnews.gov.za
