Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Pretoria - The Presidency says it has received the report the National Treasury has submitted to the Constitutional Court on President Jacob Zuma’s homestead in Nkandla.

It received the report on Monday afternoon.

The Presidency said it is studying the report and will comment on it thereafter.

The National Treasury was ordered, by the Constitutional Court in March, to calculate a reasonable cost of the non-security upgrades to President Zuma’s Nkandla home.

They were given 60 days from then, which makes the deadline on Tuesday.

The non-security upgrades which were mentioned in Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's Secure in Comfort report included the swimming pool, chicken run, kraal and the amphitheatre. - SAnews.gov.za
