Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma will this afternoon answer questions by Members of Parliament in the National Assembly Chamber.

Six written questions have been submitted, which include two from the African National Congress and one question each from the Democratic Alliance, EFF, Inkatha Freedom Party and National Freedom Party.

Some of the questions that the President is expected to answer relate to the progress in the implementation of the Back-to-Basics approach to local government, as well as the progress with the implementation of Operation Phakisa.

Another question relates to how many times he will appear before the National Assembly to answer questions in Parliament this year.

The future of the National Prosecuting Authority head and issues on the powers and function of traditional leaders will also feature in the President's oral reply session.

In addition, oral supplementary and follow up questions will be posed to the President by the MPs. – SAnews.gov.za
