Pretoria - Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza has met with an Italian business delegation and 15 investors in Rome.

Mpumalanga Office of the Premier spokesperson Zibonele Mncwango said the delegation represented a variety of investors who belong to the Association of Private Construction Contractors.

The association has more than 20 000 members from all over Italy.

“The investors came from a diverse interest from those in the architectural build construction environment, to those who provide plant and equipment and those who provide project finance,” Mncwango said.

He said Premier Mabuza presented investment opportunities ranging from tourism, agriculture, agro-processing, social infrastructure such as hospitals, schools, sports centres, dams, renewable energy, roads and railways.

“All investors were given an opportunity to present their companies and were advised to link up with Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (Mega) for projects that have already been packaged,” Mncwango said.

Premier Mabuza is expected to meet the Governor of the Province of Lombardy, Roberto Maroni, in Milan on Friday.

Both leaders are expected to sign a bilateral co-operation agreement on economy, trade and investment, energy, education, manufacturing, healthcare, tourism, infrastructure development, sports and culture. – SAnews.gov.za
