Pretoria - Ekurhuleni Mayor Ntombi Mekgwe and has added her voice to the chorus of support for the Class of 2010 and sent them her best wishes for their final matric exams.

Mekgwe said she was confident that the grade 12 pupils would perform well and overcome all the challenges they faced throughout the year.

"We have the greatest confidence and belief in their abilities to rise to the occasion and achieve whatever they have set their minds on. We have no doubt that you will do us all proud," she said.

She urged learners to be motivated by the drive and desire to produce good results in order to take advantage of all the opportunities available to them.

"As future leaders of our country, they have the greatest responsibility of ensuring that future generations continue to enjoy and develop our constitutional democracy, and that the caring society we are working to create is realised," Mekgwe said.

The municipality will also be doing its bit to support pupils and the matric recovery plan. The Ekurhuleni Municipality's Library and Information Services has extended library hours on Saturdays and some libraries will also be opened on Sundays.
