Ebrahim in Myanmar to boost ties

Pretoria - International Relations and Cooperation Deputy Minister Ebrahim Ebrahim is in Myanmar to explore avenues to further boost bilateral relations between the two countries.

The two-day visit will focus on trade and investment, according to his ministry.

Ebrahim is expected to meet with the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and to also host a business reception for operators in key sectors of Myanmar’s economy.

He will also have bilateral discussions with his counterpart, Thant Kyaw, pay a courtesy call on the Vice President Sai Mauk Kham and meet with the country’s Minister of Commerce, U Win Myint. – SAnews.gov.za
