Wednesday, November 1, 2017

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will be back in the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) today for an oral reply session, the Presidency said.

The Deputy President Ramaphosa will address issues including the development of township enterprises, securing economic viability and sustainability for crop farmers. Measures to encourage government departments, their entities and the private sector to procure goods and services locally will also be addressed by the Deputy President.

He will also talk about the role of the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) in enhancing technical and other skills required to sustain the South African economy and promote the relevance of the South African education system globally.

The Deputy President chairs the HRDC, which plays a critical role in mobilising various stakeholders behind the Human Resource Development Strategy. The plan is aimed at developing skills that serve the needs of the economy and support the national objectives of radical economic transformation, notably inclusive growth and development, among others. - SAnews.gov.za
